Social Services in Södertälje Seeks Coordinator/Navigator for Criminal Lifestyle Exit Support
Södertälje Municipality actively works with Exit Program services in close collaboration with police and other stakeholders. The program was launched as a project in 2021 and is now an established part of social services.
Coordinators are part of a small team focused on Adults in Criminality, organizationally belonging to Social Psychiatry Authority. The team consists of 14 social workers, 2 exit program coordinators/navigators, 1 administrator, 0.5 contact secretary, 2 group leaders, and 1 unit manager. A project is planned for 2026 that will add an outreach worker and an additional coordinator to work with the target group.
The team works with both Exit Program interventions and Social Intervention Group (SIG). The coordinator follows the case from initial intake through completion, building relationship, alliance, and collaboration with potential external actors.
This is a permanent employment, but covering a current employee's leave of absence, extending through December 2028.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work as one of two Exit/SIG coordinators with adult clients wanting to leave a criminal lifestyle
- Assess client motivation and protection needs in collaboration with police
- Coordinate support and treatment interventions to break criminal patterns
- Document work analytically and solution-oriented
- Maintain close collaboration with police, correctional services, and municipal departments
- Provide extensive support and external actor coordination

Requirements:
- Higher education in criminology, behavioral science, social work, or related field
- Excellent Swedish language skills (spoken and written)
- Proficient with digital tools
- Driver's license (B-class)
- Experience working with target group and understanding criminal structures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified in Criminal Lifestyle method (KSL)
- Knowledge of Risk, Need, and Responsivity principles
- Experience in social services, corrections, or probation
- Familiarity with Combine management system
