About this role

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all stages of life. We make each other better. **Culture** The Culture Unit within Region Gotland is responsible for contributing to a vibrant and dynamic cultural life across Gotland. As a coordinator for culture and health at Region Gotland's Culture Unit, you will work in a team of developers and administrators who collaborate with schools, cultural organizations, cultural creators, and civil society. We have a collective agreement, which includes collective insurance, occupational pension, and the option for salary exchange. We offer wellness hours and wellness grants, flexible working hours, and the possibility to work from home to help you balance your everyday life. The Culture Unit is located in two different places, with the majority of us based in Visby on Visborgsallén. **Your Responsibilities** The Culture Unit, with its mission in culture and health, aims to ensure that art and culture are a natural part of both the region's health promotion efforts and cultural development throughout the island. This involves promoting and disseminating knowledge in close collaboration with cultural actors, other regions, healthcare providers, and civil society. Research and experience show that this field has significant and untapped potential. As a coordinator, you will work across departments on knowledge development, coordination of actors, procurement of services, and follow-up on how these services meet needs. In this role, you will contribute to building sustainable structures for the work on culture and health and enhance understanding of the role of culture in health promotion efforts. Administration, finance, procurement, and communication are also part of the role. **Who Are You?** We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in culture/health. Courses in marketing, finance, project management, or leadership are advantageous. We also prefer candidates with experience in public administration and thus familiarity with working in a politically governed organization. A similar background from a larger civil society organization is also a plus. You possess knowledge and experience within the cultural sector and see culture as a driving force in societal development. You have worked in project management, where you have independently and collaboratively driven initiatives and achieved results. You are accustomed to managing processes with a long-term focus, as well as creating and maintaining networks. You can present and summarize information and have strong skills in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. As a person, you are good at collaborating and have a humble and attentive approach. You thrive in a governmental structure and easily adapt to changing circumstances. You are analytical, take initiative, have a holistic view of processes and structures, and possess the ability to prioritize and focus. Furthermore, you are development- and results-oriented and can create effective solutions to various challenges, which requires strong communication skills and openness to new ideas and perspectives. **About the Regional Board Administration** As part of Region Gotland, the Regional Board Administration is responsible for corporate governance, strategic planning, and case preparation. We also work with regional development and cultural and leisure activities. We serve as internal support to the region's other administrations. Together, we ensure quality and efficiency for those we serve. Through our responsibility for emergency services in Gotland, we are also an important part of citizens' safety and security. **About Region Gotland** Region Gotland is not only Gotland's largest employer; we are also the only region in Sweden that has municipal, health, and medical responsibilities as well as regional development responsibilities within the same organization. This, combined with our island location, creates conditions for good collaboration across our operational areas. We have over 7,000 employees. Together, we work towards a sustainable, inclusive, and thriving society for everyone who visits, lives, and works in Gotland. We are proactive in creating a safe and sustainable development across the island. Gotland is a fantastic place to live, with a rich cultural life, untouched nature, and a creative entrepreneurial spirit.
