The coordinator/administrator is part of the Support and Governance department. The department includes administration, communication, HR, security, digitalization, public health, preparedness, civil defense, and public health. Your mission As the coordinator for the Finnish administrative area, you have overall responsibility for developing, coordinating, driving, and following up on the municipality's work within this area. If necessary, you will also work with other national minorities. The role is both strategic and operational and involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, with associations being a central part. You will hold consultations with the Sweden-Finnish minority and be responsible for the management and reporting of the state grant. Your assignment includes developing an action plan for the municipality's work with the Finnish administrative area, where key components include elderly care, preschool, and cultural activities. You will also be responsible for the municipality's communication within this area. As an administrator, you will handle common tasks within the administrative office and support the rest of the office as needed. This includes managing fee reporting, invoice handling, maintaining a list of governing documents, basic system administration, registration as needed, and participating in municipal council meetings as support for the secretary. Other administrative tasks within the department may also arise. You will be scheduled for daytime work with some evening duties as required by the operations. Your qualifications and merits - We are looking for someone with at least a high school education focused on social studies, economics, or other equivalent qualifications. - You have several years of relevant work experience that includes service-oriented tasks. - You are proficient with computers. - You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish, as well as good oral skills in Finnish. - You have a B driver's license. You are a responsible person with a holistic perspective and a strong sense of service. You enjoy supporting others and have a positive attitude. You are structured and self-driven, like to take initiative, and find solutions. You easily collaborate with colleagues and external contacts and are flexible in your working style. Since the role involves many contacts, it is important that you have good communication skills both verbally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal qualities when selecting employees. Meritorious - Knowledge of national minorities and minority legislation, as well as experience working with minority rights in public administration. - Experience in collaboration with the association sector and public administration. - Experience with administrative tasks. - Local knowledge.
