About this role
Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different professional roles. We grow as the municipality develops with more residents, more housing, and a broader range of services. We are always seeking new talent - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, sharing the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.
Are you interested in working with the expressions and mechanisms of violence within intimate partner violence? Do you enjoy varied tasks and have an interest in management? Then you have a job to apply for in a combined position as coordinator and therapist at the Victim Support Center.
We are now strengthening our outpatient group with an additional team member through a combined coordinator and therapist position. This new role will enhance support for our citizens while adding a coordination resource for the unit's outpatient services. Together with the Head Social Secretary and Unit Manager, the new coordination position will enable joint leadership for the unit's assignments and responsibilities for different target groups.
Your New Job
In the new role as coordinator at the Victim Support Center, you have a crucial part in the municipality's work against intimate partner violence, where you organize, plan, and lead the daily work of outpatient services. You will provide case supervision, both individually and in groups, and introduce new employees. The assignment includes case allocation, requiring a thorough understanding of staff workload and priorities. As a coordinator, you are also expected to actively work on development issues, method development, and implementation. Furthermore, you will participate in continuous check-ins with the Unit Manager and Head Social Secretary to share current status perspectives from employee, citizen, and economic viewpoints. We aim to work systematically with collaboration between authority management and outpatient services, develop support and treatment interventions, and improve our ability to meet future needs.
As a therapist, you will conduct psychosocial treatment work through individual support and treatment conversations as well as group activities. The outpatient service's mission is to provide support to both victims and perpetrators of violence, as well as support and treatment for individuals buying or selling sexual services. The outpatient group's assignment also includes knowledge dissemination by lecturing and participating in other organizations' development within intimate partner violence.
Your Competence
We are seeking candidates with a completed degree in social work, psychology, social pedagogy, or another higher education of at least 180 ECTS credits, deemed equivalent by the employer. Additionally, you should have experience in social work. Meriting qualifications include treatment work, experience, and knowledge of intimate partner violence and management.
The position requires high personal maturity, independence, and comfort in a changing environment. As a person, you are confident and not afraid to meet people in vulnerable situations. You collaborate easily, have an ability to see the big picture, and are clear and creative in your work and communication. Being responsible and self-driven is a given. It is also important that you have a genuine interest in working with the people our services target. In encounters with individuals, we focus on their abilities and resources to promote health. Fundamental principles for those working in social services are people's participation, influence, and self-determination.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
A driver's license (Category B) is required.
