Our Urban Environment and Development unit works to shape and improve Skarpnäck's urban and local environment. As part of the Operations Support and Urban Environment division, our goal is to create a district where residents feel participation, community, and pride. We want to continue developing a green, beautiful, and sustainable environment for everyone who lives, works, or visits Skarpnäck. The unit is led by a unit manager and currently consists of two park engineers but is in an exciting growth phase. Starting in autumn 2026, Skarpnäck District Administration will take over park operations in-house, which means the unit will be expanded with expertise in park operations, environment, and climate. Your Role With us, you will work closely with both nature and people. You work independently while being part of a team with a good atmosphere and great commitment to the district's development. The work involves close dialogue and collaboration with many different actors, both within the city and externally. Your tasks will include: - Responding to referrals, correspondence, and citizen proposals related to urban development and urban environment issues - In collaboration with urban planning, exploitation, traffic office, and environmental management, monitoring and contributing local perspectives in the district's urban development - Reviewing and providing comments on planning matters sent to the administration - Driving, participating in, and following up on organizational development related to urban environment issues, and responsible for strategic assignments, investigations, and projects - Coordinating the unit's dialogue work with district residents - Coordinating the unit's work on accessibility in urban environments - Participating in safety investments and contributing to creating safe and pleasant urban environments - Participating in place collaboration and place activation within the district council area You will closely collaborate with colleagues in the division, including the manager, park engineers, environmental coordinators, and other administrators, and be part of a network for city planners. Your Competence and Experience We are seeking someone who is passionate about sustainable urban development and has: - A university degree in urban planning or another equivalent university education - Several years of work experience in similar roles in a politically governed organization - Knowledge and understanding of urban development processes - Experience writing service reports and working with operational plans and other steering documents - Experience analyzing background material related to social development, such as statistics and population forecasts - Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, to present matters to the committee and write clear and accurate texts Meriting for the position would be if you have: - Experience working in Stockholm City and its systems and tools such as ILS, Edok, and DpMAP - Knowledge and experience in sustainable urban development, understanding how ecological and social perspectives interact in sustainable community planning - Knowledge and experience in driving and working in projects We are seeking someone who is professional, self-driven, and has good work structure.
