Your Role
As a security technician, you will primarily work on maintenance, installation, commissioning, and service of fire alarms, sprinkler systems, gas extinguishing systems, and to some extent, intrusion alarm systems. In addition, you will perform troubleshooting and propose solutions. Work will largely take place in LKAB's facilities both above and underground, as well as in LKAB's facilities in Luleå a few times per year. In this role, you will develop a broad network both internally within LKAB Malmberget and externally within the industry. Do not hesitate to apply if you currently work as an electrician and are interested in learning a new area. We are seeking someone with a high safety mindset, who maintains good order and is a meticulous installer. You enjoy working independently, planning work time efficiently based on assignments, but can also work effectively in a group. We believe in your capacity and offer both trust and freedom to develop. There are significant opportunities for skills development, and certification as a qualified fire alarm engineer may be possible in the long term. Since LKAB has its own industrial fire brigade, a potential development path for this role is to eventually join the internal industrial fire brigade, so it is desirable that you meet the medical and physical requirements equivalent to a firefighter.
Requirements:
- High school education required, specializing in electrical, control & regulation, or automation, or equivalent experience
- B driver's license with manual transmission
- Excellent Swedish language skills, verbal and written
- Several years of experience as an electrician or technician is advantageous
- Experience with alarm installations is advantageous
- Familiarity with LKAB Malmberget's industrial area and/or LKAB facilities in Luleå is advantageous
