About this role

Safety Manager/Security Protection Manager EISCAT AB is a Swedish company owned equally by the Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish governments. Our operations are based in three countries with the head office located in Kiruna. EISCAT is seeking a combined role as Safety Manager and Security Protection Manager, responsible for operations in Finland, Sweden, and Norway. This role is central to strengthening the organization’s resilience and includes both strategic and operational tasks. You will be working to plan, lead, and implement security measures while developing policies, guidelines, processes, and routines across the entire security domain. Given that EISCAT conducts security-sensitive operations, there are high demands for expertise in security protection, export control, and information security. You will have a broad responsibility that spans from the strategic level, where you set the direction for security work, to the operational level, where you are responsible for procurements and implementing concrete measures within the organization. A key part of the mission is to build and anchor a strong security culture. This involves working closely with training, information dissemination, and communication to create engagement and understanding throughout the organization. You will also collaborate closely with authorities in the three countries, which requires good cooperation skills and experience working in a multinational environment. We are looking for someone with documented experience in security management and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulations. You are a communicative leader with the ability to foster trust and engagement, and you enjoy combining strategic work with practical implementation. An academic degree in a relevant field is advantageous. At EISCAT, you will hold a key role in an international research organization of high societal relevance. You will be part of an operation that combines advanced research with stringent security requirements, and you will have the opportunity to influence and develop security work in a unique environment alongside dedicated colleagues across national borders. We warmly welcome your application. EISCAT operates in an international and exciting industry of significant growth, where we will together find ways to expand.
