Specialized Social Worker for Children and Youth, Hisingen

**About the Job** We at the Child and Youth Authority, Hisingen, are looking for a social worker with many years of experience in social investigation work with children and adolescents. The role involves handling cases supported by the Social Services Act (SoL), the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), and the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LBSB) for children and youth aged 0-18. You are expected to manage cases independently and handle all types of cases within the Child and Youth Authority, from reception to investigation to child secretary. As a specially qualified social worker, you will play a key role in our department. You will be part of a team of specially qualified social workers and belong to one of our general investigation units. The team provides support across the department where needed, and new assignments are distributed once a week. Your focus will be on managing cases of a more complex nature where your experience and ability to find solutions are truly utilized. Given the nature of the position, you will have both the time and space to work on these cases satisfactorily. You will also work closely with our less experienced colleagues, supporting, guiding, and sharing your knowledge to contribute to their development in public administration. The department consists of a reception unit, six investigation units, two of which focus on domestic violence and youth at risk of criminality, as well as two units for children placed in foster care. You will be based in pleasant premises at the social office located at Borstbindaregatan 12 A, where all our investigation units and the reception are situated together in an open office landscape with fixed workstations. The office is centrally located near Hjalmar Brantingsplatsen with good transport links.
