About this role
The Health and Elderly Administration is one of the largest departments in Borås City, with over 2,600 employees. The department's health and medical care organization (HSV) consists of approximately 300 employees distributed across ten health and medical care teams. Together, we are developing the future of municipal health and medical care and Close Care. If you are a nurse or specialist nurse, now is your chance to contribute to the development of the focus area of wound care.
The role of wound care responsible nurse is new within the department. This means that from the very beginning, you will be involved in creating the framework for how the department will conduct wound care, now and in the future. As you will be the first to take on this assignment with a focus on wound care, you will help shape and develop the role and the assignment itself. You will belong to one of our health and medical care teams, where the position also includes weekend duties. Our patients are either in one of our short-term units or in the patient's home, either in regular housing or in our care and nursing residences. We offer a secure workplace with good teamwork. Even though you will be the only one in the department with this specific assignment, there will be plenty of opportunities for collaboration and cooperation.
Wound Care Responsible Nurse Wanted for Health and Medical Care in Borås City
Job Responsibilities
You will work as a nurse with standard nursing tasks. If you are an internal applicant, there is an opportunity to remain in the geographical team you currently belong to, but the central part of your assignment is to be the department's expert in wound care within the Health and Elderly Administration. This means that you will initially:
• Assess and ensure your own need for professional development in wound care.
• Collaborate with the management of health and medical care to develop a plan for the design of the work.
• Identify and analyze the current situation to be able to follow up on goals and results in the future.
The goal of the assignment is to:
• Provide guidance and advice in clinical assessments to nurses in the organization who consult you on wound care matters.
• Be responsible for informing and educating licensed personnel as well as nursing staff.
• Stay updated with current research and development in the field of wound care and convey this expertise and knowledge within the organization, including through network meetings with the nurses responsible for wound care in their respective teams.
• Be responsible for planning and following up on the leg ulcer and pressure ulcer measurements conducted in all HSV teams, as well as reviewing and analyzing these.
• Be responsible for the department's wound care process and keep it updated.
• Participate in the procurement of wound care materials together with Borås City's central purchasing.
• Create and contribute to collaboration regarding wound care within the HSV organization and other departments in the administration.

Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare, and you have several years of experience in the profession. Experience as a nurse in municipal primary care is an advantage. You have good competence in wound care. We prefer that you have formal education in wound care, but it is not a requirement.
You have a good demeanor, enjoy working with people, and have the desire to make a difference for those we serve. We value that you are confident in your professional role and can work independently. You are responsible and engaged in your work, professional in your assessments and decisions, and you easily adapt your working methods based on changing conditions and new information.
In this role, you need to have a good overview of current tasks; therefore, the ability to independently organize, prioritize, and follow up on your work is important. We place great emphasis on your willingness to collaborate and seek solutions in consensus with your contacts. You have a collegial approach and contribute to good cooperation with other departments.
The role requires a pedagogical approach to explain, guide, educate, and inform. You are comfortable speaking in front of larger groups, can express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, and have good experience with IT-based systems. A B driver's license is required for the position.
