Security Technician

Then you could be our next security technician! **About the Role and Your Responsibilities** As a security technician with us, you will play a key role in ensuring that our access and alarm systems function optimally. You will work both independently and as part of a team to perform corrective maintenance on access systems and burglary alarms, systematically identify and address recurring faults to reduce the number of false alarms, and improve the reliability of the systems. You will handle tag and key orders, manage permissions and access, and install as well as supplement smaller access and alarm systems. You will work in both existing and new facilities, maintaining ongoing contact with operations, property managers, and other functions within the municipality. In the role of security technician, you will also serve as a systems specialist within access systems, providing user support and first-line assistance to colleagues within the organization. You will also have an advisory role, supporting colleagues in other departments. The position may involve on-call duty during events such as Lundaspelen. **We Are Looking For You** Who has a technical background and a genuine interest in security technology. You are self-sufficient, analytical, and have good collaboration skills. You have a high school education or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer, and you have completed training in hot work and working at heights. We expect you to have previous experience working as an installer and/or technician for burglary alarm systems in service and renovation projects. You should have good knowledge of RCO and NOX or other systems deemed equivalent by the employer, hold a valid driver's license (B), and possess good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you are certified according to SSF1016 or have completed security training in alarm and access systems. Additionally, experience working with iLoq and online door reader systems such as SimonsVoss, designing burglary and access systems, and experience with fire alarms is also advantageous. Knowledge of technical English is considered a plus. As a person, you are independent and solution-oriented. You enjoy sharing your knowledge with others and have a good ability to see the connection between technology and the needs of the organization. The unit consists of a team of security technicians, security administrators, and security engineers focused on access and alarm systems, fire safety, and surveillance. The unit also includes the administration's preparedness coordinator. The functions within the unit work closely together, sharing their knowledge and collectively contributing to creating safe environments for the municipality's operations. The Service Administration meets the needs of Lund Municipality's other administrations and municipal companies for service. We have approximately 600 employees. Together, we work to build and maintain the municipality's buildings, facilities, and housing, ensuring they are intact, clean, and functioning as they should. We prepare meals for the municipality's children, youth, and elderly, take care of green areas around municipal buildings, and manage the municipality's vehicles and transportation.
