We are now seeking an experienced security protection specialist who wants to contribute to strengthening the organization's ability to create secure and robust communication throughout society.
Your Responsibilities and Tasks
As a security protection specialist, you will lead or support the work of developing security protection analyses, special security protection assessments, security protection plans, and specific security protection instructions. You will plan and conduct presentations for various target groups, lead workshops and working meetings. The role also includes following up and monitoring the organization's protective measures with a focus on security protection, handling incidents, and training employees on security-related issues.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least a two-year post-secondary education, or other relevant education.
- Knowledge and professional experience of current legislation in the security protection area.
- Experience supporting organizations in systematic security work within security protection.
- Experience conducting security protection analyses and assessments.
- Experience working with complex organizational processes from a security perspective.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience with similar tasks in the public sector.
- Experience with continuity work and risk and vulnerability analyses.
- Experience with personnel security.
- Experience with physical protection.
- Experience with information security.
- Experience with signal protection.
- Completed relevant security manager training.

About the Position
We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a probationary period.
Your duty station will be Karlstad or Stockholm, and travel is part of the position.
Swedish citizenship is a requirement for employment at MSB as the position involves placement in a security class. Employment requires passing a security screening with register checks, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
About Us
The Continuity and Security Unit is responsible for the organization's systematic work with security protection, signal protection, physical protection, information security, IT security, and continuity. Our mission involves training, guiding, and supporting the organization on security and continuity-related issues in daily work, and ensuring compliance with security rules and requirements. The unit's responsibilities also include driving and developing a Security Operations Center (SOC). The unit currently has 7 employees located in both Karlstad and Stockholm.
