Vattenfall Hydropower is seeking a Security Protection Specialist - Strategic Security Work in Luleå, Umeå, or Solna! You will be part of our security department, a staff function within the Nordic hydropower organization. We work broadly on issues related to security and preparedness, from physical protection of critical infrastructure and security protection analyses to incident analysis, information security, and total defense. Our mission is crucial in ensuring safe and robust electricity supply across the Nordic region. As a Security Protection Specialist - Strategic Security Work, you will focus on: • Systematic security work, developing and implementing analyses and plans in collaboration with hydropower production, maintenance, technology, and project operations, security colleagues, and external stakeholders • Implementing new requirements and analyzing compliance with internal and legal standards • Systematic work for security protection control You will also work on generally supportive security tasks, such as interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements in our processes and methods, engaging with authorities, and collaborating with other operators in areas like security awareness, incident management, and total defense planning. Our security work is based on staying ahead and actively working with environmental monitoring, statistics, and underlying analyses. The threat landscape in the energy sector is constantly changing, and legislation increasingly demands protection of our operations. Requirements Specification: We are seeking someone who appreciates having multiple contact points and wants to contribute to development and improvements with a holistic perspective. You have post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience deemed comparable. You have experience working with: • Governing processes and systematic security work • Security protection analyses and security protection plans • Risk and vulnerability analyses • Implementation and follow-up of security requirements, preferably in larger and national organizations • Authority contacts, investigations, and development of governing documents Experience in the energy sector and control and audit activities can be meritorious. In the role of Security Protection Specialist, you act with responsibility and integrity in accordance with decisions made. You are structured and analytical, and thrive in a specialist function where you can also use your ability to lead and coordinate. You have good experience in planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work independently, goal-oriented, and efficiently. The work involves many contacts, which requires good communication skills and proficiency in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. As travel to our facilities is involved, a valid driver's license (B-license) is required.
