The Community Building Administration is responsible for the long-term physical planning of the city and for building a sustainable city, based on a holistic view of urban development. The administration works purposefully to ensure that Mölndal becomes an attractive, sustainable, and successful city in the region.
The position is located in the Operations Support and Development unit within the Property Department. We support the entire Community Building Administration in matters related to development, administration, and digital tools.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Safety Coordinator in the Community Building Administration, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating the city’s systematic fire protection work (SBA) and the administration’s efforts in crisis preparedness and civil defense.
You will work both strategically and practically, in close collaboration with colleagues in property management, operations such as schools and care services, as well as external partners like the Greater Gothenburg Fire Service.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
• Implementing, managing, and developing the city’s process for systematic fire protection work (SBA).
• Developing methods and routines for documenting SBA and supporting operations and property owners in their responsibilities.
• Handling questions and urgent matters related to technical and organizational fire protection.
• Participating in inspections according to the Fire Protection Act (LSO) and ensuring that measures are implemented.
• Driving the digitalization of SBA.
• Coordinating the administration’s work in crisis preparedness, civil defense, and continuity management.
• Acting as a contact person in the city’s crisis management network and being functionally responsible for safety in the central crisis management team.
• Overseeing surveillance within the Community Building Administration, from routines and permits to follow-up and development.
• Participating in the city’s various networks concerning safety, vandalism, fire, and crime prevention work.
In short, you will become a key person in the effort to create a safe and resilient city both in everyday life and during crises.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a vocational college education as a safety coordinator or similar, or a university degree focused on crisis preparedness and fire protection. You have experience in systematic fire protection work, crisis preparedness, and civil defense, and have worked on developing methods, routines, and guidelines. It is an advantage if you have training in accident prevention (SMO).

The job involves collaboration with many parts of Mölndal city as well as with external parties such as the Fire Service.
