The Gothenburg Remand Center is one of Sweden's five high-security remand centers, located in the Correctional Services building in central Gothenburg. The center can accommodate approximately 400 clients. At the Gothenburg Remand Center, staff includes prison officers, psychologists, nurses, administrators, and intelligence operators. In total, we are around 300 employees who work daily on the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's important mission of breaking the vicious cycle.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an engaged and proactive security coordinator for the Gothenburg Remand Center, focusing on double occupancy of remand center spaces in the West Region. In this role, you will have a central function where you actively work to ensure high occupancy of remanded individuals through close collaboration with key personnel at all remand center operations in the region. As a security coordinator, you will lead weekly forums to coordinate and create engagement around double occupancy, and drive the work forward. You will work closely with the region's remand center coordinator and head of remand center coordination to plan transfers and precise placements. In case of absence, you will also serve as a substitute for the primary remand center coordinator.
To succeed in the role, you need to have a good understanding of remand center operations in the West Region and the ability to communicate effectively and create engagement among those you collaborate with. You should be a driven person who enjoys working independently but also closely with others to find solutions to various challenges, and you should not be afraid to work operationally when needed. We are looking for someone with experience working in a coordinating function and who is accustomed to handling complex and dynamic tasks. If you have a good ability to create dialogue and collaboration with key personnel and have a solution-oriented approach, you will be a good fit for the role. In this position, you will have the opportunity to influence and develop the working method for remand center operations in the West Region and contribute to an efficient and well-functioning double occupancy system.

Requirements:
• Academic education in security or other education/experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service deems relevant and equivalent
• Experience in security work
• Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
• B driver's license
Meriting:
• Experience in mentoring/teaching roles
• Completed basic training in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Decision-making experience
• Completed security-related training within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Good IT skills
• Experience with client administrative systems and good Microsoft Office skills
• Relevant language skills
