The Swedish Fortifications Agency is seeking a Security Officer for the Security Department's staff. Your everyday role – strengthening Sweden's security
The Swedish Fortifications Agency is in a strong expansion phase with significant investment volumes aimed at further developing and constructing properties and facilities within total defense. The Security Department leads security protection at the agency. The work includes security protection analysis, physical security, information security, personnel security, incident management, signal protection, and security protection agreements. Currently, about 60 employees work in the Security Department. The staff is responsible for coordinating the department's case management, planning, operational follow-up, process development, and training. The staff also includes the function of signal protection.
As a Security Officer, you are expected to participate in the systematic security protection work at the agency. You will handle incoming cases and inquiries. You will also support colleagues in managing security incidents and participate in the administration and further development of internal governing documents within the department. You will be responsible for coordinating and organizing the department's training sessions. The role also includes providing support with administration, control, and training within the signal protection service. The work involves many points of contact and collaborations, and you are expected to share your knowledge internally through lectures, training sessions, and workshops on security protection. Travel may be required and can be planned.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with post-secondary education, an interest in security, and experience in case management within the defense sector. It is a requirement that you have training as a signal protection manager and experience working in signal protection. You have experience in structured work with personal responsibility and a willingness and ability to take initiative. You have worked operationally to create understanding and a holistic view of security protection across various operational areas, and you have experience in processing written information and an interest in applying regulations. You have experience collaborating with different professional categories and are accustomed to working towards long-term goals. You possess good administrative skills, are proficient in using support systems, and have strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. A Class B driver's license is required.
It is advantageous if you have planned and coordinated larger gatherings, such as training sessions with many participants. It is also beneficial if you are familiar with the regulations of the Armed Forces or the Security Police regarding security protection.

About the employment
The position is a permanent employment contract and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be assigned to a military position. The work location is Eskilstuna. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and entails placement in a security classification. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted prior to employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
