About Us
The Security and Preparedness Staff is a nimble, flexible, and innovative team with proud employees who together create value for Region Sörmland. The Security and Preparedness Staff is a new merged unit since the turn of 2025 and is located in the Director's staff. It consists of a Security and Preparedness Chief and eleven employees in the areas of information security, civil preparedness, security, security protection, signal protection, and Emergency Officer function. We are currently located in Nyköping, Katrineholm, and Eskilstuna.
The Security and Preparedness Staff will create conditions to fulfill Region Sörmland's mandate of establishing a strong security culture in a learning organization through comprehensive security work that permeates all of Region Sörmland's operations, processes, and decisions. We work together with all of the region's operations.
Your Responsibilities
As a Security Administrator, you will be responsible for leading, developing, supporting, coordinating, and following up on Region Sörmland's security areas, primarily focusing on security protection and signal protection, in collaboration with the Security Protection Chief and Signal Protection Chief.
The work involves:
• Supporting other operations in building a robust region in the area
• Working based on legislation regarding security protection and signal protection, as well as other relevant security laws and regulations
• Working both strategically and operationally
• Participating in or leading strategic projects, procurements, and assignments with a holistic perspective on security protection
• Providing support and training to managers in the security protection area
• Contributing to conducting analyses and risk assessments and proposing improvements
• Following up and evaluating initiatives
• Conducting environmental monitoring in the area and tracking changes in regulations and legal requirements
Your Competence
We are seeking someone with a relevant university/college education. We require experience and training in security protection and signal protection.
To succeed in this role, you should have a well-developed ability to build relationships and engage people. You are decisive and proactive, and will exercise comprehensive security work across the region.
Furthermore, you have the ability to integrate different perspectives into a holistic approach for your actions and decisions. Strong ability to lead region-wide processes, drive work from planning to implementation and follow-up.
For us, it is crucial that you are a collaborative partner to management functions and operations and can champion security-related issues in various forums. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
We are looking for someone who is attentive, responsible, meticulous, structured, and driven. You should have good collaborative skills, be flexible, and engaged.

Employment Type
Permanent position with start date by agreement. Work location can be Nyköping, Eskilstuna, or Katrineholm, but a large part of the work will be performed in Nyköping.
