In Härryda Municipality, the safety of citizens and the municipality's crisis preparedness capabilities are strategically important and prioritized areas. Are you a person with management experience who is passionate about security issues and civil defense, and who enjoys alternating between strategic and operational work? We are now seeking a Security Manager to lead and develop the work of the security function.
The Security Function coordinates and develops the administration's work in the areas of security, information security, and crime prevention. The function is also responsible for the administration's training and exercise of the crisis organization, as well as coordinating other parts of the security area, such as civil defense, internal protection, information security, and security protection.
The Security Function consists of four employees: two preparedness coordinators, one security coordinator, and a development leader for crime prevention work.
The Security Function belongs to the Technology and Administrative Support Sector, the municipality's service sector. Our mission is to provide service to the municipality's operations and support in the areas of property, IT, meals, service, cleaning, and security.
Your Assignment
In your role as Security Manager, you will also serve as the Security Protection Manager and have responsibility for working on security and security protection issues affecting the entire municipality. As Security Manager, you have overall responsibility for operations, finances, and personnel, and you are part of the sector's management team. A management team characterized by cooperation, care, and a striving to improve the sector's service delivery.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
• Overarching coordinating responsibility for the area of security and safety in Härryda Municipality.
• Working with other operations to ensure good management of sensitive situations before, during, and after the event, which may involve knowledge support, operational implementation capacity, and support/guidance.
• Responsibility for developing and supporting the administration in increasing its capabilities during heightened preparedness, where security protection is an important area.
• Responsibility for developing the municipality's collaboration with external actors, such as police, defense forces, rescue services, security providers, Swedavia, and County Administrative Board.
• Responsibility for ensuring a functioning On-Call Officer (TIB) organization and crisis organization.
• Responsibility for developing the administration's work on information security and civil defense.
• Develop and continuously update overarching policy documents.
Requirements for the Position
You should have relevant higher education in the field or well-documented previous work experience in the security area that the employer deems equivalent. You should have work experience in the relevant area and at least a few years of management experience in a field relevant to the position. We want you to have a broad social interest and ability to interpret the organization's external expectations, be service-oriented with a strong customer perspective. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express yourself very well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You should also have very good computer skills. A B driver's license is required. To obtain employment, a police record extract must be presented, and a security screening will be conducted.
