About this role
Hissmofors Sawmill has a long history – operations have been conducted at Hissmoforsen since the late 1800s. Since the start of production, the sawmill has continuously evolved, and today Hissmofors is a modern sawmill with a fully optimized saw line, including a planing mill and impregnation facility where a wide range of building products are refined.
About the position:
We are now seeking a driven sawmill operator for the planing mill and building products unit who wants to be part of our team and contribute to the continued development of Hissmofors Sawmill. As an employee with us, you will be part of a dedicated shift team with knowledgeable colleagues who will assist you and provide you with the necessary skills. You will work on an intermittent 2-shift schedule (AM/PM) in production.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with a high school education and experience working in an industrial setting. Having a forklift license is an advantage.
In addition, you should be:

• Communicative in Swedish, both spoken and written

Conditions:
The position is a temporary contract until June 2026, with a strong possibility of extension. The work schedule is intermittent 2-shift.

Norra Timber refines timber from northern Swedish forests.
Norra Timber is part of Norra Skog, a member-owned organization driven to make forest ownership in Norrland as valuable as possible for our 27,000 members. Our members contribute to the diversity and sustainable use of the forest, and in our industries, we optimize the utilization of raw materials from every harvested tree.
Our timber comes from one of the best forest districts in the world – northern Sweden. The harsh climate causes the forest to grow slowly here, resulting in dense, fine-grained wood with tight annual rings. Therefore, pine and spruce from Norrland are regarded as some of the most esteemed timber resources. We humbly refer to it as “vintage timber.” We take great pride in noting that our northern forests are refined into climate-smart products used across large parts of the world.
Norra Timber's operations include three sawmills, three processing units, and a pole factory. We produce nearly 800,000 cubic meters of sawn timber, 250,000 cubic meters of planed timber, approximately 60,000 turned pine poles, and 150,000 chip bales annually. About 60% of timber sales are exported. The association also owns 30 percent of the Husum Pulp AB pulp mill. Within the Norra Skog group, over 600 people are employed, and the turnover amounts to approximately 5 billion SEK.
