Who Are We?
Vida Vislanda is part of the Vida Group, one of Sweden's largest actors in the forest and timber industry. We are a group with approximately 1,500 employees and 23 production facilities throughout southern Sweden. Vida Vislanda is our largest sawmill, a well-invested facility with the ambition to become the industry's most efficient and attractive facility! We work with wood as a material, which makes us a sustainable and secure future industry. In Vislanda, we manufacture construction timber for the British and Scandinavian markets.
Despite significant growth in recent years, we have maintained the intimacy and cohesion of a small company. A flat organization and short decision-making paths are important to us.
Our workforce includes both women and men with diverse educational backgrounds. A common misconception about the sawmill industry is that it involves heavy physical labor, but we want to change that perception! Heavy work is largely handled by automated machines, which requires personnel to monitor and partially control the machine lines.
Our vision is "To Grow", which applies not only to the company but also to our employees. We want our employees to feel involved and have the opportunity to grow both in knowledge and within the company.
