**Job Responsibilities**
You will primarily work with the court's handling of bankruptcy cases, an area that is undergoing significant changes in the summer of 2026. You will independently prepare and decide cases in accordance with your authority. You will have great opportunities to influence your role as a preparatory lawyer and are expected to play an active role in the transition to the new bankruptcy procedure. You will work alongside and support the department's judges, clerks, and court administrators. The job also involves external contacts with parties, lawyers, and other representatives, authorities, and the public. While the main focus of your position will be on bankruptcy cases, the tasks may vary based on the needs of the organization.
**Qualifications**
The ideal candidate should possess excellent legal skills. By the time you take on the role of preparatory lawyer, you should have completed and passed your clerkship at a general court or administrative court with a good reputation.
To thrive in this position, we see that you are driven, self-sufficient, meticulous, and structured. You have a knack for understanding legal issues and maintain an open and solution-focused approach. You possess strong social skills and can easily collaborate with others. A good command of spoken and written Swedish is essential. Additionally, you have an interest in development issues and a well-developed administrative ability. Experience working with bankruptcies is an advantage.

**About Södertörn District Court**
Södertörn District Court is one of the largest district courts in the country, with approximately 250 employees. Our jurisdiction includes the municipalities of Botkyrka, Haninge, Huddinge, and Nynäshamn, as well as Söderort within Stockholm Municipality. The court has six adjudicating departments, one administrative department, and a staff unit. We work in modern facilities in Flemingsberg, Huddinge, near the commuter train station.
