About the Position
We are seeking experienced and trained corrosion protection painters with valid certification as surface and corrosion protection painters.
You will work with advanced surface treatment of steel structures in industry, infrastructure, and energy sectors. The work involves surface preparation, application of corrosion protection systems, and quality control according to current standards.
Job Responsibilities
As a corrosion protection painter, you will prepare metal surfaces through blasting and cleaning according to applicable standards, such as SA2.5 or SA3. After preparation, you will apply various types of corrosion protection systems, often using epoxy, polyurethane, and zinc-rich paints depending on the construction's requirements and environmental classification.
You will be responsible for ensuring correct climate conditions throughout the process and continuously monitor parameters like temperature, humidity, and dew point. You will also measure coating thickness (both wet and dry film) and document results according to the company's quality procedures. The work is performed based on ISO 12944 and customer technical specifications, which demands high accuracy and understanding of the entire surface treatment process.
The role also includes daily maintenance and control of spray painting equipment, and ensuring all work complies with environmental and safety regulations. You will contribute to ensuring high-quality final results with long service life that meet all corrosion protection requirements.
Qualifications
Requirements:
Certification as Surface and Corrosion Protection Painter (Diploma Painter).
Experience in industrial corrosion protection painting or equivalent work.
Good knowledge of coating systems, measuring instruments, and quality control.
Understanding of workplace safety rules and protective work when handling solvents.
Swedish in speech and writing, basic English.
Preferred:
Hot Work certification.
Lift and scaffolding training.
Experience working offshore, at shipyards, power plants, or similar environments.
Driving License B.
