The work involves adapting instruction to each student's individual needs and supporting their social development. The work is active, inspiring, and relationship-focused. Working as a teacher at Rocksjön Resource Unit involves numerous contacts with home school personnel, student health services, principals, guardians, social services, and healthcare, all to create the best possible learning environment for students.
Welcome to Us
The School Support Unit comprises four resource units, two hospital schools, and centrally employed staff supporting primary school operations in various matters. Approximately 40 employees work within the unit.
Rocksjön Resource Unit is one of four municipal special teaching groups serving students who need the most support. Student placement is time-limited and decided by the home school principal. The placement's purpose is to help the student achieve a better functioning school experience through various measures and adaptations, with the goal of returning to the home school as soon as possible. Currently, four licensed primary school teachers and one licensed leisure teacher work at Rocksjön. The unit accommodates 6-8 students in grades 4-9.
Your Competence
We are seeking a licensed primary school teacher with broad subject qualifications and experience in assessment and grading. Experience working across different primary school levels is also desirable.
As a person, you are solution-focused and relationship-oriented, with strong communication skills towards students, colleagues, and guardians. Since some activities occur in nature and various societal settings, you'll need to use creativity in teaching. You thrive in an environment that demands understanding of differences. You have patience, excellent collaboration skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the mission. You are adept at creating work structure and take responsibility for your tasks.
