About the Position
You will be located at the Marieberg Section of the National Archives in Stockholm. In Stockholm, the National Archives primarily stores older archives from government agencies, as well as individual archives from organizations and persons. The section is responsible, among other things, for providing archive documents in the reading room.
The work as an archive clerk is varied. Here you will provide service to our visitors by retrieving and returning ordered archive documents and being available in the reading room. You will also release documents upon request and contribute to archive accessibility by performing simple registration and organizational tasks and creating logical order in the storage areas.
The tasks are physically demanding, although of course you will have access to technical aids. You will make many lifts each day to retrieve and place volumes in the storage areas. Some lifts are heavy.
Qualifications
You should have:
• Completed high school with approved grades.
• Experience providing excellent service or other practical professional work.
• Good Swedish language skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lift 10 kg multiple times daily, with or without aids.
It is meritorious if you have:
• Relevant academic degree, or other experience we deem equivalent.
• Worked at an archive institution or library.
• Good English language skills.
Personal Qualities:
• Strong collaborative abilities.
• Calm and stable, even when workload varies.
• Precise and engaged in your work.
• Clear sense of quality and ability to switch between different tasks.

The National Archives applies individual salary setting. A six-month probationary period may be applicable.
The position is placed in a security class. We will therefore conduct a security review with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
