Östra Torns Riding Association in Lund is Seeking a New Riding Instructor
We are looking for a riding instructor to join our riding school, as one of our skilled instructors must unfortunately leave due to studies.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking someone who wants to work as a riding instructor starting in January! The position involves working Monday and Friday afternoons/evenings, with shifts from 3:45 PM–7:15 PM (approximately 3.5 hours per shift). Each work shift consists of two riding sessions with different groups, making the work varied.
As a riding instructor, you will be responsible for planning and conducting riding/theory lessons. You will receive assistance from a stable host and will coordinate your lessons with the riding school manager.
What We Offer
We offer the advantages of a small riding school, including smaller groups, ensuring we can see and get to know all our students. The position is ideal for someone who loves working with children and young people. We appreciate candidates who have grown up at a riding school and understand its significance for youth. It is crucial that you have a strong safety mindset, as you will be a role model for everyone.
We welcome applicants with teaching experience and excellent equestrian knowledge, as we always prioritize the horse's well-being.
Do not hesitate to contact us! We will review applications on an ongoing basis. We would appreciate if you could shadow and learn our routines during December.
About the Association
Östra Torns Riding Association in Lund is a non-profit organization affiliated with the Swedish Equestrian Federation and the Swedish Sports Confederation, with approximately 150 members.
The association has around 15 excellent ponies. We offer lessons for children and youth from eight years old, six days a week, with parents also helping out, and a system of share-holders who care for and exercise the horses. In summer, we also host day riding camps where students can deepen their knowledge and spend multiple days with the horses.
We ride outdoors year-round in our 65x30 meter paddock, with irrigation and excellent lighting. Groups occasionally ride on good trails in the surrounding area.
The riding school has good transportation links and a convenient location in Lund, making it easily accessible.
You are always welcome to visit!
