About the Role

Do you want a diverse role where you can contribute your knowledge and help develop Forsmark's radiation protection work during outages? Do you also wish to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply? Then we have an exciting challenge for you!

We are currently seeking an outage manager for our Operational Radiation Safety team at Forsmark Kraftgrupp. This role offers varied work with clear responsibilities and the opportunity to take on new assignments as needed.

About the Job

The team is responsible for overseeing the production facilities during the three outages concerning radiation protection, preparation for work, and monitoring radiation doses. We also handle report writing, ADR transport, and support the waste team with radiological issues. The period during outages is more intensive, and you will lead a team of about 60 people. Between outages, we focus on reporting, planning, and sharing experiences in preparation for upcoming outages.

You will work in a well-mixed group where everyone collaborates to support daily operations with radiological knowledge during outages. For those wishing to develop, there are excellent career opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

You will play a central role in leading and coordinating work during outages. Your responsibilities include:

  • Planning and following up on work before and during outages
  • Personnel planning and leadership of employees during outages
  • Developing and improving work methods and routines through analysis and reviews
  • Representation in working groups and meeting forums where you are the expert on radiation protection issues
  • Documentation by writing reports and instructions

During outages, you will work shifts scheduled for either morning or afternoon. The position may also include on-call duties, participation as an internal trainer, and involvement in Forsmark's emergency organization, which may require working some weekends and evenings.

Requirements

As a person, you are self-driven, structured, and take significant responsibility for your tasks. You work safely and with high quality, are decisive, and have a strategic mindset. You enjoy analyzing operations, events, and data and are open to development and new ideas. Furthermore, you possess good social and communication skills and enjoy meeting and collaborating with others within various workgroups.

We expect that you have:

  • A technical or scientific upper secondary education or relevant work experience
  • Experience as a radiation protection technician and/or knowledge of the Forsmark facility
  • Good proficiency in Swedish and English
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car due to shift work during outages

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Relevant university studies
  • Experience as a team leader
  • Experience in operations and maintenance work

Depending on your background, there may be opportunities for additional training and/or practical components aimed at making you more confident in the role.
