About this role
What we do and want
At Stimmets School, approximately 280 students attend from preschool to grade 6.
Many of our students speak multiple languages and enrich the school with their cultural backgrounds. We incorporate the outside world into our teaching but also leave the school for the outside world, where outdoor education is a significant part of our daily routine in the after-school program. Our school is centrally located in Tyresö, with close proximity to public transport, and we also have nature right at our doorstep.
Our operations are characterized by our vision - I want, I can, I will!
About the position
We are now looking for someone who wants to make a difference in our students' daily school life. As a resource educator, you will work closely with a student in need of special support - both in the classroom, during breaks, and in the after-school program. You will collaborate closely with colleagues and families to create a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment.
As a resource educator at Stimmets School, you will provide support to one or more students in need of special assistance, both in the classroom and during other parts of the school day, such as breaks, transitions, and after-school activities. During school hours, you will work in the school's special needs group and in the after-school program in the afternoons. You will play a vital role in creating safety and structure and assist the student in participating in lessons based on their individual circumstances. In close collaboration with the responsible teacher and colleagues, you will contribute to promoting the student's social and academic development. The role requires you to be attentive to the student's needs, strengthen their self-esteem, and encourage participation and community within the group. You are also expected to contribute to documentation and follow-up of efforts, as well as maintain clear communication with colleagues and guardians.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a supportive role where you can help create security and conditions for learning. You are a person with great patience and the ability to meet each student based on their needs and personality.
The position is a fixed-term employment starting January 19, 2026, until June 12, 2026, with significant opportunities for extension.
Who are you?
You have an attentive and respectful demeanor, are clear in your communication, and collaborate easily with both colleagues and guardians. Being flexible and solution-oriented is important, as school days often present variations and require that you can quickly adapt based on the student's daily condition or situation. You have good knowledge and experience with students with neuropsychiatric diagnoses.
Above all, we are looking for a secure, present, and engaged employee who sees the value in building relationships and being a positive support for our students every day.
