Description
The Residential Care Home Riddarnäset is located in Nykroppa, Filipstad municipality.
The facility currently has the capacity to receive up to 10 youth for urgent assessment and treatment of problematic behaviors, such as drug use, mental health issues, and school problems. The youth are aged 13-20 years. Our goal is to operate a high-quality residential care home for youth in Värmland who need to be placed outside their own home. Youth can be placed with support from both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU).
The facility is operated by Värmland County Care Association in collaboration with Region Värmland and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic. This means that treatment staff work integrated with nurses, psychologists, and doctors, all to provide the best care, support, and treatment for the youth's life challenges.
In cooperation with Filipstad municipality, there is a resource school attached to the Riddarnäset facility. The school is located at Riddarnäset and will operate in close collaboration with the residential care home's treatment operations.
Work Tasks
You will primarily work as a resource and help existing teachers in their instruction by supporting students and also take a larger part in teaching when regular staff are absent from the resource school. The subjects you are expected to work with are primarily Swedish, mathematics, and English based on the central content of the curriculum LGR 22. The school normally has two teachers working together as a pair. There will be students from both primary and secondary schools, including the Introduction Program (IM).
Qualifications
We are seeking someone who is primarily a certified/licensed teacher with qualification for grades 7-9 and secondary school. As a person, you are positive, curious, learning, and reflective. You should have a good ability to communicate and collaborate with staff at Riddarnäset and colleagues, and a desire to create good relationships with students. We value experience, creativity, and commitment. Experience working with students with a problematic school background is meritorious.
Personal qualities include good collaboration skills and a positive approach. We place great importance on personal suitability.
The position is time-limited but with potential for extension.
