Job Description You will work as a pedagogical resource and provide extra support for a specific child, but also work in child groups depending on daily needs. The child/children will need support in both pedagogical work and care aspects. If the child in need of support is not at the preschool, you will work at the preschool where the need exists for the day. Therefore, you need to be able to quickly adapt in the morning if the need arises in another department. You need to be flexible and have a high capacity for collaboration, both with educators working in your department and other departments in the preschool. You need to be able to work independently both with an individual child and their needs, as well as with multiple children in a group. You need to be able to plan instruction based on the curriculum and adapt to different children's needs. You should be able to support the child/children to be included in the activities but also promote rest and recovery. Therefore, you need to be a creative, attentive, and playful educator. You need to be able to document your work and have good communication skills with both colleagues and guardians. It is a requirement that you understand complex linguistic materials, both spoken and written. This is a service profession, so it is desirable that you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach. Have interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. It is meritorious if you have experience working with children with disabilities and special needs. It is also desirable to have experience with medical aspects. Lifting, sitting on the floor, playing, etc., are required skills. The entire preschool uses AAC - Alternative and Augmentative Communication. So you should have good knowledge of this. But if you also know sign language, that is an additional merit.
