Högåsskolan is a preschool to 6th-grade school with approximately 490 students and 70 employees in the scenic Knivsta, right next to Gredelby Meadows Nature Reserve. Our proximity to nature while being centrally located with short distance to commuter trains to quickly reach Uppsala or Stockholm provides fantastic opportunities for various types of teaching variation, which we see as an important part of students' learning.
We have a maximum of 24 students per class, with 3 classes in each grade level.
The school is centrally located in Knivsta and was inaugurated in 2015.
At Högåsskolan, we work to meet each student at their level, where collaboration, participation, and shared responsibility permeate the instruction. We believe that all students can and want to learn if given the right conditions, and we strive to create an inclusive learning environment where everyone can speak up, develop, and be challenged at their own level.
DUTIES
Work with student support in preschool to 2nd grade.
The tasks include providing support to students throughout the school day and at the after-school center. You will work with the student individually and in groups, and can also support other students when possible. During after-school hours, the assignment expands, and you will be responsible for a larger group that includes your student. You will collaborate with the grade level team's educators to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for the student and the group.
You will work closely with mentors, other teaching staff, and guardians.
QUALIFICATIONS
We prefer candidates with a qualification as a childcare worker or student assistant and previous experience with similar tasks.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
OTHER
