We are now looking for a restaurant assistant for our newly renovated restaurant Gastronomen at Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg. We warmly welcome your application by December 1st! About the position As a restaurant assistant at Sahlgrenska, you will contribute to creating and delivering high-quality meals. You will play an important role in preparing delicious, safe, and healthy meals for patients and visitors at the hospital. Your tasks will be varied and performed in our production kitchen and lunch restaurant. Examples of tasks include: - Serving in the lunch restaurant - Preparing salad buffets and bread - Assisting with the cooking of lunch dishes - Cash handling and customer interaction - Dishwashing and cleaning Working hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday to Friday. About you We are looking for someone with a completed upper secondary education in restaurant and food service or equivalent vocational training. You have a couple of years of experience in similar tasks. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and can easily engage in dialogue with customers and colleagues, as well as follow and understand written and verbal instructions. Since work in the kitchen is physically demanding, you need to have the physical capability to stand and walk throughout the workday, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks. As a person, you are good at collaborating with others, communicative, helpful, and have the willingness and ability to deliver excellent service in a fast-paced environment. In the coming years, our journey within Meals will be digitalized, which requires our future employees to be comfortable using digital tools. Previous experience in serving, customer contact, cash handling, and working as a cold kitchen assistant is an advantage for this position.
