Do you want to be involved in world-class research on next-generation battery concepts and play a central role in advancing our experimental methods and laboratory capabilities? Join us as a Research Specialist at the Department of Physics, Chalmers University of Technology.
**About us**
Stimulated by major needs and challenges in society and industry, our ambition at the Department of Physics is to foster a creative environment for academic research, learning, innovations, and utilization. We provide a competitive edge by bridging academic excellence—in materials science, nanotechnology, life science engineering, and energy research—with cutting-edge industrial research projects. We address a broad spectrum of experimental, computational, methodological, and theoretical challenges, from fundamental to applied physics, to drive scientific breakthroughs and innovation. We have a strong teaching commitment at all levels from undergraduate to doctoral studies where physics meets engineering.
The research at the division of Materials Physics is directed towards a fundamental molecular-level understanding of the structure and dynamics of materials in relation to macroscopic functionality. A particular focus is on energy storage applications, soft matter, and biomaterials. We work at both in-house laboratories and at international synchrotron and neutron facilities.
