Job Responsibilities
As a traveling service technician, you'll be part of a team of 40 traveling service technicians with support from in-house technicians and a group manager. In this role, you'll work in the field and be the customer-facing representative, responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations of TRUMPF laser technology at customer sites. Your repair and service assignments are typically shorter tasks lasting a few days, while installations involve projects ranging from 2-7 weeks. You'll work with mechanics, electronics, software installation, and system integration. You'll work from home and stay overnight Monday to Friday weekly in your work area covering Sweden and Norway. As this is a traveling position, you'll be offered a company car or benefit car, along with daily allowances and travel compensation.
Your introduction begins with comprehensive training, including fieldwork with a colleague and introductory training at the company in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland alongside technician colleagues from around the world. TRUMPF offers you long-term and ongoing technical skills development, and through expanded tasks and training, you'll independently take on increasingly complex assignments.
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
• Technical education, either from high school or vocational college
• Experience in technical work involving repair, service, or maintenance of industrial machines. Preferably from manufacturing industries such as food production, automotive industry, or similar.
• Knowledge of mechanics, automation, and interpreting electrical diagrams
• Fluent Swedish and English, both verbal and written
• Valid B driver's license
You as an applicant are someone who takes responsibility for your tasks, their execution, and ensures all are completed on time. You see the value in planning and driving your work forward and ask for help when needed. Understanding the importance of structure and order in your work, you are methodical, systematic, and plan tasks before starting. In the role of service technician, you'll speak with many customers daily and are happy to initiate conversations. You have good communication skills, are comfortable with other people, and feel relaxed in social situations.
