Traveling Installation Technician

Installation Technician About the Role As an Installation Technician with us, you will be a key person in a newly established installation department within a growing company with customers across Sweden. You will be part of a team building and developing the department from the ground up, with the opportunity to influence work methods, routines, and future development. You will work with installations, commissioning, and service of technical systems for our customers – often on-site in the field. Our largest customers include OKQ8, Keolis, and Skellefteå Kraft, which means you will work with modern and varied facilities where quality and safety are the focus. The work involves extensive traveling and overnight stays, which suits you if you enjoy freedom, variety, and practical work in different environments. There may be up to approximately 30 weeks per year working in other locations. Since assignments are nationwide, your place of residence is not important – what matters is that you enjoy traveling for work. Primary Responsibilities · Perform installations and commissioning of technical systems for customers · Troubleshooting, service, and maintenance of existing installations · Ensure work is carried out according to applicable safety regulations and quality requirements · Document completed work and report to project managers · Collaborate with colleagues, subcontractors, and customers on-site · For smaller projects in the installation department, support the service department when needed Your Background · Experience with technical installations, preferably in electrical, automation, energy, or similar fields · Experience in the fuel industry, such as installation of pumps, payment terminals, or related equipment, is highly meritorious · Electrical certification or training as an electrician is meritorious · Class C driver's license is meritorious · Good technical understanding and familiarity with reading drawings and installation documentation · Class B driver's license is required · Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who thrives in an independent role where you can take responsibility and solve problems on-site. Since work is often performed in pairs with a colleague, it is important that you are a team player who values good cooperation, clear communication, and shared responsibility. You are responsible for your own inventory and stock levels, which means keeping materials organized, ensuring necessary spare parts are available, and managing purchases and restocking as needed. You are also responsible for booking your own hotels and travel for assignments around the country, which requires good planning skills and organizational abilities. As you will meet customers and represent the company in the field, you are service-oriented and professional in your interactions.
