Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of the Sami language. The Community Development Administration consists of three departments: Citizen Services, Strategic Community Planning, and the Technical Department. The administration is responsible for ensuring service to citizens and businesses, for the strategic planning of community development, as well as for the municipality's water and sewage operations, waste management, property, and project organization to support these operations in new and reinvestments. JOB DESCRIPTION The Technical Department of Åre Municipality includes operations in waste management and water/sewage. In the waste management unit, we currently have four waste management engineers, three waste management administrators, and one unit manager. We live in a time where sustainability and circular economy have never been more important. New legal requirements, such as extended producer responsibility and requirements for separate collection, place higher demands on our waste management unit. To ensure that Åre Municipality not only complies with legislation but also stays at the forefront of effective and environmentally sound waste management, we now need to strengthen our team with a few more dedicated waste management administrators. We are looking for individuals who are driven to contribute to the development of future waste management. You will work together in an efficient, friendly, and easy-going group on tasks including: * Responsible for, and work within, the unit's operational systems EDP/Future and Castor * Responsible for the fractions of residual and organic waste * Responsible for sludge emptying * System administration, customer contacts, and invoicing * Development work * Administrative and practical tasks within the waste management assignment You will represent Åre Municipality both internally and externally and are expected to actively contribute to the positive development of the municipality's waste management and brand. QUALIFICATIONS * Experience and education in the waste management field and/or administration are advantageous * Experience working with the operational systems EDP/Future and/or Castor is a plus * A strong interest in waste management and environmental issues * Good computer skills * A valid driver's license * Proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written You have good collaborative skills in a humble manner. You will be able to engage with citizens in both speech and writing in a professional and informative way. As a person, you enjoy thinking outside the box and finding new solutions to old problems. You work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
