Do you want to work in a development-oriented team that ensures Lund Municipality is maintained in good and safe condition? We are currently seeking a sanitation worker for the street unit within the Community Development Administration.
**About the Role and Your Responsibilities**
As a sanitation worker for operations and maintenance in the street unit of Lund Municipality, you will be responsible, together with colleagues and the team leader, for maintaining safe and operational streets, squares, and pedestrian and bicycle paths. Your tasks will involve cleaning Lund Municipality's outdoor environment using smaller sanitation machines on public land, as well as planning, executing, and following up on various measures on streets, squares, and pedestrian and bicycle paths. The role includes being on call. You will also assist in other operations that the unit is responsible for. To strategically plan the operations systematically, we are working on improving and developing the unit digitally.
**We Are Looking For You**
We are looking for someone who has completed upper secondary education in fields such as construction and civil engineering, vehicle and transport programs, or equivalent vocational training with a focus on the construction and civil engineering sector, or relevant experience deemed acceptable by the employer. You should have several years of work experience in professions related to technology, transport, construction, and civil engineering, or equivalent. Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. A valid driver's license (B) is mandatory, and you should be comfortable navigating to various geographical destinations using a vehicle computer.
It is an advantage if you have training in road work, hot work, brush clearing, and wheel loader operation.
As a person, you are responsible and structured. You are collaborative and possess a good ability to independently plan and prioritize your daily work, even in pressured situations. You see potential for improvement in operations and are eager to contribute ideas and further develop your own working methods.

**About the Workplace**
The street unit is part of the Department of Street, Park, and Nature, which is responsible for the operation and maintenance of public land as well as nature and recreational areas in Lund Municipality.
We are 28 people in the street unit working on road maintenance, operation and maintenance of streets and pedestrian and bicycle paths, handling excavation permits, sanitation and winter road maintenance, street lighting, parking permits, traffic planning, land leases, bridge constructions, reporting faults and managing feedback, as well as the tramway between Lund and ESS, which we also maintain.
At the street unit, we work together to develop operations and Lund Municipality. The unit is characterized by broad competence and a team spirit based on trust and joy. Development issues are important to us, with the goal of further strengthening Lund as an attractive municipality to live and work in.
