The Adult Education Department is part of the Upper Secondary and Adult Education Administration in Borås City and is responsible for the development and implementation of the adult education programs, including Komvux and vocational higher education. We offer Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), Komvux as adapted education, basic level courses, subjects at the upper secondary level, and vocational training. Principal for Healthcare Komvux Job Responsibilities We are seeking a principal for healthcare adult education, responsible for students, staff, admissions, organization, and follow-up within the assigned framework. Your pedagogical leadership will focus on the goals set in the administration's and school's development plan - Educational City of Borås. The role includes staying updated on local and national governing documents and changes to them, as well as keeping abreast of the varying conditions of adult education. The role also involves collaboration with healthcare and social services at various levels. We are certified within the Healthcare and Social Care College. You view the operations as part of the municipal whole and are eager to work in a constantly changing environment. We are primarily looking for someone with extensive experience in adult education. We seek a leader who, in close collaboration with other principals: - Plans, drives, and follows up on the operations' work and development towards activities and measures that yield results. - Is responsible for and organizes the systematic quality work, work environment, and finances of the school unit. - Creates favorable conditions for employees to work in and develop the operations towards set goals. - Shapes an operation that promotes quality, learning, and sustainable employee engagement. Qualifications As an applicant, you are expected to have: - Strong knowledge of and experience in school leadership. - A pedagogical university degree. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. It is advantageous if you have: - Experience in healthcare work, preferably as a nurse/social worker or have worked as a vocational teacher. - A university degree in healthcare. - Experience working as a principal. - Completed or currently enrolled in principal training. - Experience in union collaboration.
