Östergården and Västra Harg preschools have approximately 100 children. Östergården preschool, which also includes night care, is located in Mjölby town. Västra Harg preschool is situated in the countryside, relatively close to Mjölby and Mantorp towns. You will work in close collaboration with other principals, special education teachers, and psychologists in Mjölby Municipality. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as preschool principal in Mjölby Municipality, you will lead, plan, organize, coordinate, and develop the pedagogical work in the operation based on established goals in national, municipal, and local governing documents. You are responsible for your unit's organization, systematic quality work, forms of child participation, resource allocation, authority exercise, cooperation with guardians, and local rules, among other things. You will work with concrete daily operational issues while being aware of how they affect the organization's overall goal achievement. The preschools are engaged in a joint language development project aimed at providing each child with the prerequisites to complete secondary education. In Mjölby Municipality's preschools, we work together with student health special education teachers and psychologists to create predictable preschool days. Predictability involves clarity and comprehensibility; making situations easy to understand. You will be an employer representative with personnel, budget, and work environment responsibilities. You will be part of a principal group that meets regularly to collaboratively drive Mjölby's preschools towards increased equivalence, high quality, and improved academic results. Your role also includes reporting the unit's results to the preschool operations manager. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking candidates with a pedagogical university degree, with preschool teacher certification being advantageous. You have experience in pedagogical work as well as experience working as a manager or leader, with experience in a politically governed organization being particularly meriting. You should have experience combining pedagogical, personnel, and administrative issues in a holistic perspective. Meriting qualifications include principal training, leadership education, and experience with development work/change management. A B driver's license is required. As a leader, you are clear, attentive, and create engagement and participation. You motivate and delegate work to achieve common goals. You have the ability to make quick and clear decisions both independently and collaboratively, and the capacity to lead, structure, organize, and motivate others while setting goals and direction for the operation. As a person, you are goal-oriented, have strong communication skills, and can collaborate with others; listening, showing empathy and respect. You are unpretentious and recognize and reward others' contributions.
