In the Hjällbo area of Gothenburg, an exciting opportunity has arisen for you who are interested in leading and developing schools.
We are seeking a principal for School Area 10, Lärjeskolan F-9 and the adapted primary school for grades 7–9. This position has become available as the current principal is relocating from Gothenburg. As a principal, you will be part of the principal group in the North-East education area, led by the education manager.
**Job Responsibilities**
As a principal for a school area, you are a key person with access to support from the administration in various areas such as administration, finance, HR, quality and development work, digitalization, analysis, and legal matters. You delegate responsibilities and authority and are ultimately responsible for the continuous development of the schools in the area, ensuring they are effective organizations. Based on governing documents and a scientific approach, you focus on ensuring the quality of education and clear leadership in classrooms/after-school care, to create an efficient and successful school.

**Description of the School Area**
Located in the heart of Hjällbo center, Lärjeskolan is a newly built school with a fantastic environment both indoors and outdoors, and together with the adapted primary school for grades 7–9, it constitutes School Area 10 for grades F–9. Here, you will have the opportunity, along with three assistant principals, to lead an operation that spans from preschool class to grade 9, including the adapted primary school 7-9. This is a unique opportunity for you who wish to work in a dynamic environment where you can contribute to students' learning and personal development throughout their primary school years.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for candidates who have the following qualifications:
• A university degree equivalent to 180 credits, with pedagogy as part of the education.
• Several years of managerial experience in schools or preschools as a principal or assistant principal, or other equivalent managerial experience.
• Principal training.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations as well as other governing documents at the national level for all school and operational forms within primary education.
• Knowledge of financial management and resource allocation.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations and collective agreements related to employer responsibilities.
• Experience in systematic quality work and workplace environment work.
For the position, it is advantageous if you:
• Have completed leadership or management development programs/training.
• Have participated in management development programs to lead other managers.
• Have experience leading other managers.
• Have experience from cross-administrative development work.
• Have leadership experience in socio-economically disadvantaged areas and collaboration with external actors in this context.
You can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and propose possible solutions. You can overview your own area of responsibility and place the significance of your own operations in a broader context. You show interest in and collaborate on overarching issues to create added value.
You listen to others to understand their needs. You actively seek others' opinions and perspectives and are receptive to them by showing respect, consideration, and care. You are motivated by clearly defined goals and have the ability to translate these into concrete actions. You are a clear and effective communicator who gains support for thoughts and ideas and can influence decisions in a certain direction. You work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as successful as possible.
