Hakkas School, with approximately 75 students (grades F-9), and Emmaskolan, with around 50 students (grades F-6), are small rural schools in Gällivare Municipality where we develop close relationships and dare to succeed and fail together. Our vision is "For a future where everything is possible!" We aim to equip students with knowledge and the ability to learn so they can create their own future. We continuously develop our teaching and learning environments to provide students with the best possible conditions for learning. **Job Responsibilities**
As a principal, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that the operations included in the assignment are conducted in accordance with the goals of the curriculum and the assignment as a whole. You have comprehensive responsibility for personnel, finances, work environment, and organizational development in your units. You will also have contact with guardians and others. The work is based on Gällivare Municipality's shared values. As a principal, you report directly to the head of the administration and are part of the management team along with other principals within the administration.
**Qualifications**
We are looking for someone who has completed principal training or has a pedagogical education and experience working in schools. The position requires pedagogical insight through both education and experience. Experience in similar roles is considered an asset. You should possess the ability to be a pedagogical leader as well as have good collaboration skills for internal and external contacts. Being creative and open to new ideas, as well as being able to support staff and stimulate pedagogical work, is important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is advantageous when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
