Your mission includes pedagogical leadership, personnel management, student health work, work environment, and effective resource utilization. You will lead school development together with competent staff and contribute to creating a safe and stimulating learning environment for students. You report directly to the head of preschool and primary school in Leksand Municipality, with placement at Tällberg and Ullvi schools, and you will report your assignments directly to the head of preschool and primary school. You are part of the primary school's principal leadership group. Some specific focus areas you will work on in this role include: • Driving school development and promoting high teaching quality • Leading and distributing daily work within the operations • Strengthening student health efforts and support measures for students in need • Working strategically and making decisions based on assignments and goals • Building good relationships with staff, students, and guardians • Collaborating with union representatives • Being responsible for the budget and participating in financial follow-up • Leading change initiatives and building a stable organization • Working according to applicable governing documents for the school area Your Profile We are looking for someone who has: • Relevant higher education and principal training • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Good familiarity with the Education Act, governing documents, and the school's mission • Solid experience in education and leading people • Experience from working in a municipal and politically governed organization (meritorious) As the principal for two schools, you need to be a clear and courageous leader with a passionate commitment to school development. You lead with sound judgment and a holistic perspective, and you have the ability to create structure and work purposefully in a often complex everyday environment. Your leadership is characterized by open communication and a strong relationship-building approach – you create trust, participation, and a culture where both students and staff can grow. You are strategic and action-oriented and are willing to make decisions when necessary. Experience and interest in change management and school development are prerequisites, and you have both the will and ability to drive long-term improvement work in line with our goals and values. About the Workplace Tällberg School, with approximately 120 students, and Ullvi School, with around 75 students, are two well-functioning schools with a positive atmosphere, high ambitions, and strong engagement from both staff and guardians.
