A dynamic, innovative, and future-oriented mission-driven high school is seeking a new principal. Kopparlundsgymnasiet, managed by Västerås Entrepreneurial High School, is a non-profit institution where any surplus is reinvested back into the school and students.
Kopparlundsgymnasiet works with interdisciplinary and often practical approaches, focusing on real-world themes related to current societal events. The "KG spirit" is a concept at the school, representing care and safety.
We are seeking a candidate who has:
- Documented leadership and management experience in high school
- Relevant higher education and pedagogical training
- Excellent understanding of the teaching profession and didactic and pedagogical work
- Experience working proactively with student health
- Documented experience with systematic quality improvement
- Experience with budget work focused on financial balance
- Experience leading change and development initiatives in high school
- Ongoing/completed state principal training

You understand the importance of listening to wise suggestions from colleagues. You have the ability to see potential long-term perspectives and consistently drive change. You are solution-oriented and can manage conflicts. You are knowledgeable about current affairs, especially in the education sector. You are an excellent network builder.
As principal, you will lead the school management and have overall responsibility for the school's pedagogical development, results, and work environment. You will have personnel management for approximately 30 employees and will work closely with the school's 180 students, guardians, and external stakeholders to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
