About this role
Together, we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe’s leading university hospital by 2032. Together with our patients, we strive for quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – within an integrated healthcare system in the Västra Götaland region. Our vision and goals aim for care of the highest quality, where the patient is always at the center. We provide healthcare locally and regionally, as well as highly specialized care to patients across the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength, contributing to knowledge exchange both nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify daily operations at the hospital and offer modern, accessible, and efficient care of the highest quality.
About Us
The Affective Reception 1 is a specialist psychiatric clinic within the Affective Psychiatry department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.
Our target group includes patients with depression, unspecified bipolar disorder/bipolar spectrum, OCD, or burnout syndrome whose issues require specialist psychiatric care.
The clinic is located alongside Affective Reception 2 at Rullagergatan 5 in Gamlestaden, in the old factory area by SKF. The clinics work closely together, and our workplace is characterized by high professionalism and an open climate. As one of the rehabilitation coordinators in Affective Psychiatry, you will be part of an organization where development work and continuing education are considered essential for a good work environment. We are a large clinic with excellent opportunities for collegial exchange and development. The clinic employs doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.
Job Responsibilities
The role of the rehabilitation coordinator involves providing personal support, internal coordination, and external collaboration to facilitate the individual patient's return to or entry into the workforce. As a rehabilitation coordinator, you play an important support role within insurance medicine and collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the sick leave and rehabilitation process. The work is varied and independent, allowing you to plan a significant portion of your work time and make decisions within your area of expertise. You will work with both physical and digital visits.
The interdisciplinary treatment team is the core of our work, responsible for a broad patient group with complex issues. Like other employees, your role includes being a primary care contact, which involves care and treatment planning as well as collaboration with inpatient care, municipalities, and other supportive agencies.
About You
We are looking for someone with a university degree of at least 180 credits in healthcare, rehabilitation, social work, or a related field. Previous experience as a rehabilitation coordinator and further education in rehabilitation coordination and insurance medicine is advantageous.
You are professional in your interactions, possess good collaborative skills, and are attentive to both colleagues and patients. You thrive in teamwork while also being able to work independently, with the ability to manage various types of individuals with complex psychiatric issues.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We warmly welcome your application!
