About this role

Are you a driven and engaged nursing assistant? Are you experienced in working with rehabilitative interventions? Then you may have the opportunity to work in the Health and Medical Care Unit as a rehabilitation assistant Monday to Friday for 9 weeks this summer. Here, you will be offered a full-time position across the entire elderly care sector in the municipality, with the possibility of covering for regular nursing assistants and rehabilitation assistants during absences or increased demand. The Health and Medical Care Unit in Hjo consists of approximately 30 employees responsible for all healthcare and rehabilitation for the municipality's patients. Work takes place in both home healthcare and in special accommodations and short-term units. We are a very socially oriented team where the goal is to develop and have fun at work. Job Description As a Rehabilitation Assistant in the Health and Medical Care Unit, you will be responsible for carrying out the majority of the rehabilitative interventions prescribed for our patients in home care. In addition to performing rehabilitative interventions, your responsibilities will include: • Performing certain nursing interventions in connection with rehabilitation. • Working closely with occupational therapists and physiotherapists for regular check-ins and specific reviews. • Supporting nursing staff when training/reviews are required regarding our patients' functional abilities. • Assisting occupational therapists and physiotherapists as needed, for example, during home visits, with the delivery of assistive devices, or with the management of the assistive device inventory. The position involves daytime work from Monday to Friday; exact working hours may be adjusted based on when rehabilitation needs arise for our patients. Qualifications You should be a trained nursing assistant with several years of experience in municipal care and support work. A good knowledge and ability regarding a motivational approach, as well as an interest in rehabilitative interventions, is essential. You need to be proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. A good attitude, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate are very important to us. A valid B driver's license is required.
