About this role

The goal of gender equality work in Sweden is for women and men to have the same power and opportunities to shape society and their own lives. This work includes issues related to influence, economy, health, education, work, and bodily integrity. The Gender Equality Agency is tasked with ensuring that the government's gender equality policy is effectively implemented. The agency's role is to coordinate, monitor, and provide various forms of support within the areas of gender equality. The Gender Equality Agency is a strategic LGBTQI authority, meaning that it must promote equal rights and opportunities for LGBTQI individuals in its operations. Within the Department for Operational Support, we are responsible for all processes of an administrative and operational nature. This includes, among other things, registration, archiving, legal affairs, procurement, IT, finance, operational monitoring, HR, state grants, and other administrative processes. The department is currently divided into four units: the Legal Unit, the Finance Unit, the HR Unit, and the State Grants Unit. In 2026, the Gender Equality Agency will undergo an inter-agency reorganization. This means you will be part of a building and development phase where structures, working methods, and collaborations are still being shaped. The role therefore requires you to be flexible, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in an environment where not all conditions are finalized from the start. We are now seeking a Registrar for the agency. Job Responsibilities As a Registrar at the Gender Equality Agency, you will be responsible for receiving, registering, logging, managing, and archiving public documents. You will oversee the agency's mail handling and monitor several shared email inboxes. You will support the operations by practically ensuring correct registration and document management. Your tasks will also include, to some extent, the release of public documents in collaboration with other colleagues in the agency. The unit you belong to has contact with both the public and the agency's employees, providing information on matters related to the agency's documents and operational area. You will also contribute to the agency's work with digital case management by guiding and training in the operational system and ensuring the quality of the logging process. Qualifications To be considered for the position, you need to meet the following requirements: • Education in archival and information science, public administration, or other education deemed equivalent, such as a certified registrar. • Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing the handling of public documents within public administration, such as the Freedom of the Press Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and the Archives Act. • Good knowledge of logging and document management in digital environments. • Very good computer skills and good knowledge of the Office suite. • Good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish. It is considered an advantage if you have: • Experience working within public administration. • Experience working with the case management system Iipax case. Having these qualifications is advantageous but not mandatory to be considered for the position. We place great importance on personal suitability. You need to have a knack for structure, order, and precision, as well as being meticulous. It is important that you can structure and prioritize your work. You are accustomed to processing and assimilating information and are solution-oriented and flexible, meaning you can quickly shift between different tasks. We expect you to contribute to a positive work environment in the group and, as a team player, take responsibility for the overall well-being and best interests of the agency. You are communicative and pedagogical in your collaboration. The tasks require you to be a secure and stable person with excellent collaborative skills. Employment Information The position is a permanent full-time employment located at the Gender Equality Agency's office in central Gothenburg. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The agency offers several benefits focusing on health and a sustainable work life for all ages, such as the opportunity to work remotely, wellness hours, and wellness grants.
