Region Dalarna holds the regional development responsibility and leads and coordinates the common work for sustainable development and increased quality of life in the region. The starting point for the administration's mission is the Dalstrategy 2030 - Together for a Sustainable Dalarna. The administration has a process-driven role in implementing the Dalstrategy, proposes measures, allocates government funds for projects, and participates in various networks and collaborations. The work is conducted in dialogue and cooperation with other stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels. Other underlying plans, government assignments, and priorities for the region also serve as frameworks. The administration has just over 40 employees, and the position belongs to the Business Development unit.
There is an opportunity for partial remote work according to the region's regulations, up to two days a week, but our work also takes place on-site with our partners throughout the region.
**Regional Competence Supply Strategist**
**Job Responsibilities**
We are seeking a competence supply strategist for a permanent position to strengthen our team in Falun. This is an opportunity for you who want to work regionally and strategically with a highly prioritized issue in a workplace that allows for personal development! We are looking for someone who, along with colleagues in related roles, wants to tackle challenges and opportunities regarding competence supply, matching issues, and lifelong learning. You therefore need to have experience with strategic development work and expertise in the field.
Together with colleagues, you will coordinate and enhance the regional competence supply efforts in collaboration with representatives from business, the educational system, various sectors, municipal and private sectors, as well as other relevant authorities and organizations. Your role will also include:
• Initiating and participating in industry dialogues and various types of competence mapping.
• Following up and analyzing needs, demand, and matching in the labor market based on assignments within the regional development responsibility.
• Presenting and communicating statistics, knowledge bases, and analyses that describe the region’s conditions, challenges, and opportunities.
• Contributing to deliverables for the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education and the Swedish National Agency for Education.
• Mobilizing the region's stakeholders regarding initiatives and initiating/participating in project initiatives where there is a need.
• Writing decision support documents and preparing materials for stakeholders requesting statistics and analysis.
• Based on the ongoing work with a regional competence plan, focusing on strengthening collaboration with employers, including cooperation with internal HR for the employer Region Dalarna. The competence plan is a support for Dalarna's cross-sector competence council.
• Working on attraction issues for the Dalarna labor market as a whole and for individual sectors.
**Additional Information**
**Qualifications**
The role of regional competence supply strategist is rewarding but also demanding. Therefore, you need to have:
• An academic degree or equivalent training along with experience that Region Dalarna assesses to be equivalent.
• Good knowledge of both the labor market and the educational system as well as various stakeholders within these.
• Experience working within the educational system or with labor market issues and collaborating with involved stakeholders.
• Strong ability to communicate and convey statistics and analyses as well as presenting in both large and smaller groups.
It is especially advantageous if, in addition to the above, you also have:
• Experience with change processes and working to mobilize various stakeholders.
• Experience working on collaboration between different levels, stakeholders, and organizations.
• Experience working in politically governed operations.
• Established channels and networks within the business sector, labor market, and education sector in the region.
