Are you interested in taking a central role in a growing company where you'll have responsibility, influence, and the opportunity to shape the structure of the finance function of the future?
We are now seeking an independent and committed Accounting Economist for a Swedish company within a Nordic group.
Start Date: As soon as possible, preferably before Christmas. This is a long-term position where you will initially work as a consultant via People of Finance for approximately six months, with the intention of transitioning to a direct employment with our client.
About the Role:
As an Accounting Economist, you will be responsible for the ongoing financial work in the Swedish operations. The role is broad and independent, with responsibility for the entire accounting flow, from ongoing bookkeeping to financial statements and reporting.
You will become a key person in the company's finance function, working closely with the Swedish management while reporting to the group's CFO. This is a role for someone who thrives in an operational environment with significant responsibility, where much is still being built and developed.
You will have the opportunity to influence, optimize, and establish new routines and processes as the company grows.
Example Tasks:
• Ongoing bookkeeping of incoming and outgoing payments
• Customer and supplier ledger management
• Monthly and annual financial statements (K3 requirements)
• Assist with annual reports and audits
• Tax declarations (VAT, payroll tax, chemical tax, periodic compilations, extensions)
• Reporting to Statistics Sweden
• Forecast and budgeting work
• Develop and improve financial routines and processes
• System administration in financial and invoice management systems
• Ad-hoc tasks related to operations
About You:
We are seeking someone with at least 4-5 years of qualified accounting experience, preferably from companies with high transaction volumes.
You are comfortable with the financial statement process and have experience with K3 regulations and working in Visma Business (merit).
You enjoy a role with significant responsibility where you can work completely independently in the accounting flow, but also closely with leadership in a large, high-growth company.
We believe you are:
• Detailed, self-driven, and stress-resistant
• Accustomed to taking initiative and driving improvements
• Confident in prioritizing and delivering on time
• Positive and humble, solving whatever needs to be solved
The role suits both experienced professionals seeking stability in an exciting environment, and those wanting to grow alongside the company.
About the Company:
The company is part of a Nordic tech and service group. The Swedish operations are experiencing strong growth, with the goal of nearly doubling turnover in the coming years.
You will work closely with the Swedish CEO and report to the group's CFO.
The position is located in Stockholm. The company prefers you to be on-site for most of the time (at least three days per week).
