Ratos is a group focused on technological and infrastructural solutions. Our journey began with the great technological advances of the 20th century, with few companies being as crucial to Swedish trade and industry as Ratos. One example is all the old buildings and bridges in Stockholm, made with our steel, which still stand firmly today. Another is our social commitment. We were one of the initiators of the Stockholm School of Economics in 1906, which 100 years later remains the most sought-after business school.
Ratos AB, an acronym for Ragnar and Torsten Söderberg, is a Swedish listed corporate group, previously an investment company. Brothers Ragnar and Torsten Söderberg founded Ratos in 1934 as a management company for the family's growing business operations. The family was then the owner of Söderberg & Haak AB. Ratos' business idea is to own and develop companies that are or can become market leaders.
After long and loyal service, one usually says, and this is truly true of Yvonne. She has worked at Ratos for over 30 years – wow! Now we are looking for her successor. You will receive a smooth handover, with desired start during the first quarter of 2026. As an accounting economist, you will work on accounting for eight companies, one of which is the parent company. As it is a small group, you will support accounts payable as needed. Your responsibilities also include processing around twenty payrolls, something we believe the right person can learn.
In your role, you will report to Sandra, the Group Business Controller, who describes working at Ratos roughly like this: "We are a professional organization where we have respect for each other in a very pleasant environment. Here you'll get a broad role and be part of a team of 8 employees".
As Ratos is a listed environment with high requirements, we expect you to enjoy delivering top-quality numbers, have planning in your processes, and be driven to analyze and stay a step ahead. You thrive in a role where you can work independently but with many contact points in the organization.
Your tasks will include:
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for Ratos AB and central companies
• Intercompany transactions and reporting in Aaro
• Annual reports for subsidiaries and contact with auditors
• Budget and forecast work
• Income tax and VAT declarations
• Payroll, employer contributions, pension management, and financial handbook
• Responsibility for and administration of corporate documents
• Management of bonus/incentive programs
This role suits someone who is confident in accounting skills but also has a great interest in helping others within the team to drive improvements and achieve results. You are a team player with a positive attitude, willing to take on new tasks based on the needs of the finance department. We are looking for someone interested in developing systems and processes within their area of responsibility and continuously improving how we work.
To succeed in the role, you need:
• Academic degree in economics or equivalent
• Experience in a similar role with good knowledge of K3
• Familiarity with IFRS 16
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
• Fluency in Swedish and English
• Good Excel skills, with experience in Hogia and Aaro being a plus
