We are looking for an experienced accountant for a municipal company in the city of Gothenburg. Here, you will work with financial closing, invoicing, VAT, and group reporting in an environment characterized by professionalism, collaboration, and a fast pace. The assignment starts as soon as possible and lasts until May, with the possibility of extension.

About the assignment
We are seeking a qualified accountant who can contribute directly to a fast-paced assignment. You will be part of a wonderful and competent team where collaboration and helpfulness are central values. The assignment extends to May 2026, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
* Ongoing accounting and invoicing
* Financial closing work and annual reports
* VAT and employer declarations
* Group reporting and liquidity forecasts
* Management of fixed asset registers and component accounting
Personal qualities
You possess strong communication skills, are solution-oriented, and are comfortable handling both complex situations and sometimes simpler tasks. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, self-driven, and has the ability to see tasks through to completion. You are proactive and take initiative—seeing what needs to be done and acting without waiting for instructions. The role requires a structured individual with good problem-solving abilities, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and finds it easy to collaborate in a team where helpfulness and humility are central values.
We are looking for someone who
* Has at least 5 years of experience in qualified accounting work
* Has experience working for municipal companies
* Is confident in financial closing work and VAT reporting
* Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
* Strongly meritorious: Cognos Controller, Agresso Unit4, Precido, and Hypergene.
Start date and application
Full-time, office hours, and you will be employed by Jefferson Wells and work as a hired consultant for our client. For this assignment, you need to work on-site.
