With a turnover of approximately 4 billion SEK and around 420 employees, Areco has expanded its operations from a local focus to a broad market in Europe, operating in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany, and continues its strong growth journey. **Accountant at Areco Steel** In this role, you will work at Areco Steel, the company's central finance function, where you will be part of a team consisting of three accountants, four finance assistants, one HR/payroll specialist, two IT professionals, two controllers, and a marketing department with two members. As an accountant, you will primarily work with the Swedish operations, but your responsibilities will also include communication with our foreign subsidiaries. You will drive significant work around improving the company's processes and routines. You will report to the CFO of Areco Steel and the team leader in accounting. **Responsibilities and Tasks** - Prepare and execute monthly financial closings - Independently prepare annual reports and financial statements - Manage VAT declarations and taxes - Reconcile balance and income statement accounts - Be responsible for accruals and provisions - Develop and improve internal routines and processes - Participate in the preparation of financial reports for the management team **Education** We are looking for a candidate with several years of experience in accounting and a higher education degree in finance or a certified accounting qualification. **Experience and Knowledge** We seek an accountant with experience in accounting according to K3, preferably with a background in the manufacturing industry. You have a good understanding of consolidated financial statements, either through previous experience or foundational knowledge, with a clear goal to further develop in this area. You possess good computer skills, strong Excel knowledge, and experience working with business systems; experience with Pyramid and Monitor is an advantage. Since Areco collaborates with many international partners, fluent English skills, both spoken and written, are required. You have previously been involved in system implementations or process improvement projects within finance and enjoy contributing to the development of efficient and modern work processes. **Personal Attributes** We are looking for a driven and engaged accountant with the ability to see the bigger picture and understand how finance and accounting impact business decisions and overall operations.
