The Municipal Executive Office (KLK) is one of the municipal board's departments and is responsible for leading and coordinating a variety of cross-municipal assignments. The Municipal Executive Office consists of the municipal office, HR, finance, IT, communication, development and sustainability departments, as well as land development and business departments. Then we have the job for you! We are now seeking an engaged and driven accounting economist for the accounting unit in the finance department. The municipality's finance department is part of the Municipal Executive Office. The department's mission is to lead the municipality's financial processes. You will belong to the accounting unit, whose task is to deliver qualitative support and analyses within the accounting area to the municipality's departments. The unit is also responsible for the municipality's business and follow-up systems. By being part of the accounting unit, you will have the opportunity to participate in developing the municipality's accounting processes, ensure compliance with applicable laws and recommendations in the accounting area, and prepare the way for an efficient working method. You will work closely with colleagues in the finance department to deliver high-level service in the group. The work tasks involve being part of the unit's accounts receivable team, focusing on fixed asset accounts receivable. You will also work with ongoing bookkeeping, account analyses, and VAT accounting and declaration. You will participate in parts of the closing process, including reconciliations and bookkeeping for the municipality's smaller companies. Additionally, the role includes supporting the operations with accounting and system-related issues. We are therefore seeking someone who is a sharp accountant with system interest, who wants to continue developing efficient accounting processes with us. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics or a relevant education, preferably with a focus on accounting. You have good system proficiency and excellent Excel skills. You have strong analytical ability and understanding of financial processes. Previous experience with municipal accounting is meritorious. To thrive in the role of accounting economist, you are self-driven, initiative-taking, and structured. You are curious and readily embrace new working methods and solutions. You enjoy a work environment that is constantly developing. You are analytical and meticulous, planning and organizing your work efficiently. You enjoy collaborating and solving problems together with others. You are communicative and comfortable in an environment with many contact points. You can present accounting issues in a pedagogical manner, both verbally and in writing.
